About Annascaul Walks! hill walking club

Annascaul Local Walk

“Cumann Sleibhteóiratcha - Annascaul Walks!” was formed in October 2005. The club came to life when a small group of people in the village decided to revive the Annascaul Walking Festival, which traditionally occurred on the October bank holiday weekend. The festival was so successful that it is now an annual event.

The new walking festival was very successful and encouraged us to think in terms of organising monthly walks, mostly in the immediate area on the Dingle Pinnninsula, climbing mountains such as Been os Gaoith, An Starricin, Mt Brandon & Macna na Bó.

Weekly Walks

The club has now over 50 members, affiliated with MCI and we now offer organised walks on a weekly basis, held each Sunday alternating from a hill walk to a road walk each week. To see a list of upcoming walks visit our list of club walks page.

“See you in the hills!”
